Trust and privacy
These are our rules for businesses that have not joined TravelHood. We do not buy lists.
Read the privacy noticeTravelHood shows no business that has not joined yet. These are the rules we follow from day one.
Business information only.We keep the company name, what they run, where, and the business contact details they publish.
No public page for a business that has not joined.Visitors who are not signed in see at most its name, country and activities in a search. The full card is for signed-in members, and never for search engines.
One email per request, never a mailing list. When someone asks to reach a business that has not joined, we send that business one email with their message. We never add it to a list.

What we keep about a business that has not joined
Its name and website, where it is, what it runs, a one-line description from its own site, the business contact details it publishes there, and the source and date of each detail.
What we never show
We never show a personal name, a personal email address or a phone number on the card of a business that has not joined. If the only email address a business publishes looks personal, we use it only to pass on a request, and never show it.
How long
If a business that has not joined has not appeared in any search for 12 months, we delete it.
What we keep when you join the list
Your email address, what you asked for (your search, or that you want to set up or claim a profile) and when you agreed. We use them only to confirm your email and to write to you once about what you asked for.
If you do not confirm within 30 days, we delete it. If you confirm, we delete it at the first of these: 12 months after you confirmed, 90 days after we send you the one email about it, or within a day of you opening a TravelHood account with that address. You can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to , and we do it within 30 days.
What we keep when you remove a business
A fingerprint of the email address (a one-way code, not the address itself), the business's own domain if it has one, and the date. We keep these for good, because they are what stops us showing or emailing that business. The request itself, with a partly hidden copy of the address such as ow•••@gmail.com, is deleted 30 days after the link is used or expires.
The check that you are a person
When you open the waitlist or removal form, it loads Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are a person and not a bot. Nothing loads before you open a form, and it sets no cookie on our site. Cloudflare may store data under its own domain, challenges.cloudflare.com. We receive only a pass or fail result, which our server checks with Cloudflare. Cloudflare, Inc. does this on our behalf, as our processor.
One email per request, and how to stop it
When someone asks to reach a business that has not joined, we send that business one email with their message, and never a reminder. Every request email has a one-click link that stops all TravelHood email to that address and its domain, for good. No login, no form.
